i.bera is a counseling center for people who experience violence in their relationships or family, or who are affected by forced marriage.
Counseling means: In a personal conversation, you share your situation. We then inform you about your options and work together with you to find solutions. You decide which path you want or can take. We support you in this. There is always a way out!

The counseling is free and confidential. Upon request, anonymous. We speak different languages and work with interpreters. We provide diversity-aware and LGBTQ+ friendly counseling, regardless of language, residence status, religion, etc.

Who is the counseling service for?

  • For people with a migration background aged 14 and above who experience violence
  • For friends and relatives
  • For social pedagogues, teachers of all school types, volunteers, or employers who have contact with affected individuals in their professional context.

i.bera offers training sessions and workshops for professionals. The topics are tailored to the respective target groups and their needs. Basic topics include: terminology and background on forms of violence, protective measures and support services, the role of professionals.
